2,000 Rs. RBI has banned face value notes, allowed to exchange till September 30!
2,000 Rs. Reserve Bank of India has withdrawn the face value notes from circulation. The Reserve Bank of India has announced that it will withdraw Rs 2000 notes from circulation. Also, RBI has suggested that the notes should be changed by September 30, 2023.
By September 30, you can deposit the Rs 2,000 note in the bank or exchange it. 2,000 rupee notes to stop circulation from October 1.
Public can deposit Rs 2,000 notes in their bank account. A restriction has been imposed on exchanging Rs 2,000 notes.
A maximum of Rs 20,000 per person is allowed to be exchanged in a day to ensure that bank operations are not disrupted.
2,000 till September 30. Customers can exchange denomination notes at banks. These notes will not be in circulation from A.1.
